Single Story New Build with Basement

This residential new build was constructed on the site of six old garages. The scheme consisted of a basement level with three bedrooms, three bathrooms and utility room, with a kitchen and living room to the ground floor. Plenty of natural light is provided to the basement through the external terraces and light wells.
Site conditions made the logistics the biggest challenge of this project as we were building in close proximity of three neighbouring properties and the public footpath.

Wimbledon, Contemporary Extension

A rear extension was added to this property to integrate the kitchen into a living and dining area. A subtle industrial theme was achieved internally through the use of an exposed London Stock feature brick wall and polished Microcement floor.
Externally the property carries on this theme boasting large glazed sliding doors with a lead roof and fascia.  

Wimbledon,  Contemporary Extension

Wimbledon. Extension, loft conversion and refurbishment

An extensive refurbishment of this property included a loft conversion to form a large master bedroom and en suite bathroom. A side and rear extension allowed a large open plan kitchen and dining area to be created. The brief was to maintain the original aesthetic of the property and integrate it with a modern extension. This was achieved through the large glazed doors and zinc cladding. 

South West London - Basement and Refurbishment

South Kensington, Mews Refurbishment and Basement

The project consisted of the formation of a basement underneath this Mews property alongside a loft conversion to greatly increase internal space. The property features a glazed rear garden terrace allowing light to flood through the lightwell into the basement to create an open and airy feel. 

Garden Pods

Construction of two garden rooms. One to create a dedicated office space and the second one as a gym with partitioned store room.

I’ve always dreamed of having a clean, modernist home, and I’m happy to say that Alice and her team at Atelier Cohen led the way to making that dream a reality! I couldn’t be more happy with the project, my house looks like it could be featured in a magazine. I expressed my wishes of having a clean, natural interior aesthetic and they truly delivered – the natural light in my newly designed home is to die for. They also helped me turn my dated, drab living room into a spacious but cosy space.
